Meet the Medical Mind Behind NutriFlo Medspa & IV Lounge

Carla Joseph is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. She graduated Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009 and Barry University in 2014 as a nurse practitioner with a Master of Science of Nursing. She is board-certified in aesthetics through The Academy of Procedural Medicine. She is a nationally trained Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner with specialty certifications in Botox injections, dermal Fillers, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments, PDO threads and more. She places an emphasis on continuing education and training by attending multiple seminars, advanced courses and training each year to provide the most advanced and safest procedures for clients. The high patient satisfaction at NutriFlo MedSpa is a reflection of all of that education and experience. She is committed to maintaining the highest standards and prides herself on obtaining natural results and meeting clients’ aesthetic goals.

Dr. Vera
Medical Director

Originally from Colombia, Dr. Carolina Vera, now the medical director for Nutriflo Medspa & IV Lounge, relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the age of 9 with her family. Her American dream led her to excel academically, graduating top of her high school class and securing a spot at Nova Southeastern University for medical school, where she graduated with highest honors. Driven by her passion for saving lives, she specialized in Trauma and Emergency Medicine during her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami, where she also served as Chief Intern.

For over a decade, Dr. Vera dedicated herself to various Emergency Rooms across Broward and Dade Counties, honing her skills and making a significant impact on countless lives. While Emergency Medicine fulfilled her, she also possessed a natural talent for Aesthetic Medicine. Thus, she pursued double board certification in Emergency Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine, embracing a new professional challenge.

Dr. Vera, prioritizing patient care and safety, integrates the latest technological advances into her practice to achieve natural beauty. As a leader in age management medicine, she emphasizes proactive and preventative approaches for optimal human function and appearance. Her motto, “Look Good, Feel Good,” reflects her commitment to helping patients achieve confidence and beauty without invasive procedures, leveraging her artistic eye and extensive medical background. Dedicated to advancing her field, Dr. Vera aims to be at the forefront of aesthetics and age management medicine, shaping the future of the industry.
